COLOR SPLASH · ANDROID & iOS

Privacy policy

Last updated

This policy explains how S4Labs (“we”, “us”) handles information in connection with Color Splash (“the game”), including Android and iOS versions and support enquiries. Features and service availability may vary by platform or build.

1. Who we are

Color Splash is developed under the S4Labs name. You can contact us about privacy at sebastjanlajkovic@gmail.com.

2. Information we process

Game saves on your device

The game stores progress, level results, scores, coins, lives, rewards, inventory and settings locally so you can continue playing. You do not need to create a game account. The game also stores local checkpoints used to measure play sessions. Although the save itself is local, some gameplay and inventory information is included in analytics events.

Gameplay analytics

Where Firebase is enabled, Google Analytics for Firebase receives gameplay events such as levels started, completed, failed or abandoned; scores and play duration; session and attempt activity; boosts used; virtual currency and inventory changes; and ad offers and outcomes. We use these events to understand difficulty, balance rewards and improve the game.

Google’s SDKs also process app and device information and app-instance or installation identifiers. Approximate location can be derived from IP information. Android advertising identifiers may be available depending on device settings and SDK configuration. The game does not assign an account-based player ID. These identifiers can distinguish installations, so this information should not be treated as anonymous.

Crash reports and diagnostics

Firebase Crashlytics receives crash and error reports to help us identify and fix problems. Reports can include error messages, stack traces, app and device details, installation identifiers, the current level and recent game actions.

Information you send us

If you contact support, we receive your email address, the contents of your message and any attachments you choose to send. Please avoid sending passwords, payment details or unnecessary sensitive information.

The game does not ask you to provide your name, contacts or precise GPS location to play. Advertising and analytics services can still process the technical information described above.

3. Advertising and your choices

Color Splash integrates Google AdMob for rewarded ads and ads between levels. When ads are enabled, Google and the advertising partners involved in serving an ad may process IP-derived approximate location, device or app identifiers, ad interactions and diagnostic information to deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud.

Advertising privacy messages and choices depend on your region and the available services. When shown, Google’s consent message explains the choices available to you. When available, Ad privacy choices in the game’s main menu or pause/settings menu lets you revisit them. In compact menus the control may be labelled Privacy.

Declining personalised advertising does not necessarily stop all advertising-related data processing: eligible limited or non-personalised ads may still be served. Ad availability and rewards depend on the ad service and completion of the relevant reward condition.

Ad choices do not disable Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics. The current game has no player-facing switch for those services. They can collect information independently of the advertising consent form when Firebase is enabled.

You can manage advertising privacy in your Android device settings. On iOS, tracking permission is separate from advertising consent. The current default iOS setup does not request Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA), and its Analytics integration omits IDFA support. Other app or installation identifiers may still be processed. If a future version requests tracking permission, you can manage it in iOS Settings.

For provider details, see Google’s Privacy Policy, how Google uses information from partner apps and AdMob’s data disclosures.

4. Purposes and legal bases

We process information to operate game features, understand gameplay, improve stability, respond to support requests, and—when enabled—serve and measure advertising and prevent fraud.

Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on:

  • Providing the service you request: processing necessary to deliver game features and related support.
  • Legitimate interests: maintaining a reliable game, investigating errors, understanding game performance, responding to enquiries and preventing abuse, where the law permits this processing and those interests do not override your rights.
  • Consent: advertising personalisation and other optional processing where consent is required. Consent requirements for storing or accessing information on your device also apply independently of these legal bases.
  • Legal obligations: responding to legally binding requests and meeting applicable record-keeping or other legal requirements.

The advertising choices described above apply to advertising; they are not a consent control for all game data. You may contact us to ask about a particular use of your information or to exercise the rights described below.

5. Sharing and international processing

Information is processed by Google services for analytics, diagnostics and, when enabled, advertising. Support correspondence is handled through our email provider. Advertising recipients can differ depending on the ad served and your privacy choices; consult the applicable consent message and provider information.

Information may be processed outside your country. Google describes its international transfer arrangements in its data transfer framework information. Firebase’s processing arrangements are explained in its privacy and security documentation.

Depending on the destination and service, international transfers may be covered by an adequacy decision, a recognised data transfer framework or contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your information.

We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Advertising-related disclosures may qualify as sharing for targeted advertising under some privacy laws; applicable choices are described in the advertising and rights sections of this policy.

6. How long information is kept

  • Local saves: remain on your device until cleared. Removing app data removes local saves; device backups may retain or restore copies.
  • Analytics: user- and event-level information is retained according to the Google Analytics property’s retention settings. Retention can depend on the data category and subsequent activity. Aggregated reports and separately exported reports may follow different retention rules. See Google Analytics retention controls.
  • Crash reports: Google states that Crashlytics keeps crash traces and associated identifiers for 90 days before beginning removal from live and backup systems. See Firebase’s retention information. This does not establish a retention period for any separately exported copy.
  • Advertising data: retention is governed by the relevant provider’s practices, the type of data and applicable choices.
  • Support correspondence: we keep messages for as long as needed to resolve the enquiry, handle related follow-up and meet any applicable legal obligations.

For information we retain outside those services, retention is based on the purpose of collection, whether the information is still needed to resolve a problem or improve the game, and any applicable legal requirements. Contact us for details or to request deletion.

Clearing app data or uninstalling the game does not itself delete information already processed by Google or held in support correspondence.

7. Your privacy rights and requests

Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data; restrict or object to processing; receive a portable copy; or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Send privacy questions or requests to sebastjanlajkovic@gmail.com. Tell us that your request concerns Color Splash and describe what you need. Do not send identity documents or advertising identifiers unless they are specifically needed and requested.

Because there are no game accounts, an email address alone may not identify your installation’s analytics or crash records. We may need proportionate information to verify a request and locate relevant records. Where we cannot identify records, or a request is subject to a legal exception, we will explain the limitation. We cannot promise that uninstalling the game deletes all third-party records.

If applicable, you may complain to your local data protection authority. The European Commission explains individuals’ data protection rights.

Where applicable, you may also opt out of processing for targeted advertising or sale/sharing as defined by local law. Use the available ad privacy controls or contact us. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and explain any permitted extension or refusal. Where local law provides an appeal right, you can reply to our response to request a review. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

8. Children and teenagers

Color Splash is intended for teenagers and adults aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the game or support, contact us so we can investigate and address it.

A 13+ audience designation is not age verification and does not mean that every teenager can consent to data processing in every country.

Where parental permission is required by applicable law, a parent or guardian should be involved in decisions about personal information. Parents and guardians can contact us with questions or requests concerning a child’s information.

9. Security

Google documents encrypted transmission for the SDK services described here. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Keep your device protected and avoid including unnecessary personal information in support attachments.

10. Website and external services

The game’s landing page uses Umami website analytics and session recording to help us understand visits, navigation and interactions and investigate website usability problems. These tools operate separately from the game’s Firebase services. They are not loaded on this privacy-policy page.

Opening a web page also involves technical request information such as your IP address and browser information being transmitted to the hosting infrastructure. Following store, advertising or other external links takes you to services governed by their own privacy notices.

11. Changes and contact

We will update this policy when the game’s data practices change and show the effective date of the published version. Where required, material changes will be communicated through the game or another appropriate channel.

For questions about this policy or Color Splash privacy, contact sebastjanlajkovic@gmail.com.
